After some frantic weeks of desk research, meetings, focus groups, surveys, site visits and phonecalls, the feasibility study for a possible Active Travel Hub in Aberfoyle is now ready for sharing.
The original idea for this came from the 'Traders' or Trossachs Business Partnership to give them their formal name, but it has grown arms and legs since Transport Scotland's Pre-Application Support Fund came along and funded some expertise to explore the idea further.
Now the hard work really begins as more discussions now need to take place to see whether the study can come to life as a real project on the ground. The study is recommending that we join forces with Stirling Council, who have been incredibly supportive to date, so fingers crossed...
An advisory group is being put together as a result of the many people who contributed ideas, enthusiasm and time to the work so far - but if you missed all of this, it's not too late to contribute your positive ideas or even join the group as it evolves.
