Forth Valley & Lomond LEADER Rural Food and Drink Business Adaptation Grant Scheme

Forth Valley and Lomond LEADER has secured £50,000 of funding from the European Agricultural Fund for Rural Development and Scottish Government.

Funding is to support Covid recovery and business adaptation for food and drink businesses through small grants (up to £1,000) for food and drink businesses, as part of its local food and drink activity in the rural Forth Valley and Lomond area.

The aim of the grant scheme is to:

• assist food and drink businesses in the FVL area to adapt their business operation as a result of Covid19
• assist food and drink businesses in the FVL area to re-open their businesses in a safe and socially distanced way, in accordance with public guidance
• assist food and drink businesses to begin/extend trading on-line, where appropriate, or develop their existing on-line presence.
• promote economic recovery, in response to the Covid-19 pandemic.

All food and drink businesses with proposals related to adaptations to their business are eligible to apply.  Applications are invited to help food and drink businesses to meet public guidance on social distancing and safer commercial practice as they re-open following the Covid-19 restrictions.

Eligible proposals will include one or more of the following:

• adaptations to business premises (eg construction of outdoor covered areas)
• purchase of equipment (eg purchase of screens to separate seating areas)
• e-commerce developments (eg adding an online sales element to website)
• Covid related training for staff
