Foraging Fortnight is a LEADER initiative, in partnership with Scottish Natural Heritage. Foraging Fortnight celebrates Scotland’s natural environment and wild food, with a series of foraging and wild food events taking place across Forth Valley and Lomond, Fife, Moray, Lanarkshire, and Orkney LEADER areas.
Our area's flagship event, will be the very first Scottish Wild Food Festival, taking place on Saturday 14 September at Cardross Estate, Port of Menteith. Tickets are now on sale for general entry to this event, or if you are booking one of the workshops or long table wild meals, entry is included in the price. There are some amazing activities and food experiences on offer - many of them free. A day for young and old - anybody with a desire to connect with nature in new ways!
In addition to the Scottish Wild Food Festival, there’s a huge variety of activities on offer across the regions for all ages: from foraging outings and walks; fungi and seaweed forays, and special menus, to inspiring talks, food demonstrations and tastings; to foraged cocktails and special dining experiences.
