Hanna has been interning with Forth Valley & Lomond LEADER since February - working on a variety of projects over the past four months. It's been a varied workload - from working on communications and social media, to food and drink research and event development, to driving co-operation project ideas between Scotland and Sweden, among other things.

She has been a valuble contribution to the team, and a real pleasure to work with. We will miss you Hanna!

Four questions for Hanna:

Q: What were your best moments?

A: There have been a lot of different highlights during my stay with fvl LEADER in Stirling. The best moments have been to visit the different applicants, to get experience from event planning, and over all just to get the experience from working in a large organization which makes such a difference for people in the rural areas. Last but not least, it has been very interesting and fun to be able to see so many different parts of Scotland, since the tasks have not only been office based.

Doing an internship term abroad has added a lot of things beside work as well. The opportunity to explore different parts of UK, such as the beautiful Highlands, England and Ireland has definitely made my internship term a memory for life.

Q: What did you learn about the LEADER program that you didn’t know before while you were doing your internship?

A: I actually didn`t know much about LEADER before I came to work here. However, now I have got a great understanding for the work that LEADER does and the benefits that people in the rural areas get from it. It has been very interesting to be a part of the work LEADER does, when it comes to everything from event planning to farm visits and a lot of various administrative tasks.

Q: What were your favourite places in and around Stirling?

A: My favourite place in Stirling is the Stirling Castle and with its stunning view over the mountains and the Wallace Monument. The Trossachs National Park with its stunning nature is a beautiful place that I am very happy I got to visit during my stay here.

Q: What do you hope to do when you finish your study?

A: In the future I hope to work in an organization, similar to LEADER, where I can improve my administrative skills as well as other skills.
